2025 Tax Extension
All taxpayers are eligible to file an extension of time to file for tax year 2025 by April 15, 2026. Our office can e-file your federal and state extension(s), providing an additional six months—until October 15, 2026—to complete your returns. To ensure timely submission, please provide all extension information to our office by April 12, 2026.

If you expect to owe taxes, consider making an estimated payment by April 15 to reduce interest and potential penalties. An extension grants additional time to file—not to pay. Interest will accrue on any unpaid balance after April 15 unless a sufficient payment is made with the extension. If you are due a refund, there is no penalty or interest for filing on extension.

Our fee for filing the federal and applicable state extension(s) is $85. You may also file an extension at no cost directly through the Internal Revenue Service website and your applicable state tax authority’s website.
Taxpayers living and working abroad automatically receive a filing extension until June 15, 2026. However, interest on any unpaid tax still begins accruing on April 15, 2026. If you need additional time beyond June 15, you must file an extension by April 15, 2026, to extend your filing deadline to October 15, 2026.
